What We Loved

Budapest was a gem — the contrast between Buda and Pest is fascinating, and the Taste Hungary food tour was unanimously the best experience across all three cities. Prague charmed us completely with its walkable old town, incredible beer, and buzzing local food scene. Train travel between cities was surprisingly easy, even with a young child and stroller, and eliminated any need for a rental car. The thermal baths in Budapest were a truly unique experience that worked for every generation of traveler. Throughout the trip, wandering into welcoming-looking bars and restaurants produced some of the best meals and moments of the whole journey.

What We'd Do Next Time

Vienna is clean, historic, and worth a visit, but we'd trim time there on a return trip and use those days to explore a rural Czech village instead. We'd also book the Taste Hungary food tour even earlier in a Budapest stay so we could return to favorite spots before leaving.
